Picture of the Week- Princess Peach

Carlos Lerma made this super adorable and colorful Princess Peach artwork. I originally found this on Geek-Art.net and I also featured his abstract Batman artwork for a previous PotW.

Check out Lerms and all of his greatness on his Deviant ArtBlog,Website.  My favorite of Lerma include Neil Gaiman, Sirius Black, Darth Vader, Buddha and Riff Raff

Sunday Funnies (10/24)

I’m back everyone from the beautiful Cayman Islands.   Did you miss me?!  Well I sure missed you!  If you were wondering why I didn’t have any posts this week it’s because I was on a little vacation, I twitpiced a few pictures of it.  Well paradise is lost again and it’s back to reality and of course back to my blog!

Enjoy this weeks Sunday Funny, this one I literally LOL’ed. Having the Blue Shell/Spiny Shell in Mario Kart made me feel like God!

Girls this one is for you!

Here’s what Dueling Analogs had to say about this comic,

“I would have referred to them as Spiny Shell Condoms, but that would have given the comic a completely different feel. Literally.

I had this comic finished pretty close to midnight EST, but I wanted to create a mock wrapper for a Blue Shell Condom. Thought it adds a little something more to the experience. Or at the very least a picture of a fake condom wrapper.

Seriously though, the blue shells or spiny shells or whatever kind of shell you want to call them are a mixed bag of tricks. On one side, it’s a cheap way to win and an even cheaper way to lose. It can completely destroy the whole skill aspect of any given race. Then again, it does add a completely random level of uncertainty of how a race will play out even until the very last second. So I guess I have a love hate kind of relationship with the blue spiny shells. Though, it’s still an extremely crappy way to lose.”

Sci-fi, Video Game, & Star Wars Burlesque Show

The Devil’s Playground Ladies in LA bring us yet another geek infused Burlesque Show, this time it’s your favorite Sci-Fi women.  They previously did a Star Wars show and Video Game girls show, which are also in the gallery.  I hope they do anime girls next (Faye Valentine I’m looking at you!).  And how about a male version for us geek girls?!

Ever wanted to see Pris from Blade Runner do a strip tease? Devil’s Playground returned to Bordello for its monthly burlesque and cabaret show, this time with Ladies of Sci-Fi Burlesque, featuring characters inspired by Pris from Blade Runner, Ripley from the Alien franchise, Maria from Metropolis, Aeon Flux, Barbarella and Metroid‘s Samus Aran. Some images may be NSFW. Catch the ladies again on October 9 for Scream Queens Burlesque. – LAWeekly

Picture of the Week- Pinup Princess Peach (9/6)

This week PotW is a Pinup Princess Peach by Plunky Lump. I love her tramp stamp and how her face is 8-bit!

Sonic and Mario Awkward Reunion

A friend from Otakus and Geeks told me about this video… HILARIOUS!! Poor poor Sonic, I really feel for him.

Video Game Minimalism: Less is More

Less is more in this case.  My super amazing brother showed me some of these minimalist video game posters a while ago (pre-blog).  And since sharing is caring I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I think they are very cute and clever!  If I still lived in a dorm I’d have some of these posters all over the walls… well at least my side of the room.  You can buy some video game minimalist shirts here and buy some  posters on here and through the artists links.

Hardcore gamers will be able to recognize all of these posters.  BUT I provided the cheat code just in case.

The posters are made from: Justin Russo, Infinite Continues, Chris and Ashley Browning.

Fanboys don’t worry the next post I will do is on superhero minimalist posters.
