Picture of the Week- Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 comes out midnight on Thursday Nov. 18th and of course I’ll be in line with the other muggles and a cup of Butter Beer to keep me warm.  It’s only fitting to have this weeks Picture of the Week dedicated to Potter and pals.

The image I decided to feature is the Deathly Hallows symbol which is simple and to the point.

“The symbol of the Deathly Hallows. The vertical line represents the Elder Wand; the circle, the Resurrection Stone; and the triangle, the Cloak of Invisibility” (Harry Potter Wiki).

Supernatural the Anime

I’ve been watching Supernatural on and off since it’s started in 2005.  My dad is a big fan of it so it’s always on in the house.  I also really liked the turn it has taken the past 2 seasons with the whole Hell on Earth situation and the not so angelic Angels.  Because since Supernatural is a show about, well the supernatural, I’m excited about the visual freedom they will have with animation.

Info on Supernatural the Animation via Anime News Network:

“The acclaimed anime studio MADHOUSE (Death Note, Paprika, Vampire Hunter D, Summer Wars) is producing the previously announced 22-episode anime for Warner Brothers. Shigeyuki Miya (Lupin III: Green vs Red, Aoi Bungaku Series, Buzzer Beater) and Atsuko Ishizuka (Aoi Bungaku Series) are co-directing the project. Warner Home Video will ship Supernatural the Animation on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on one disc on January 12, 2011, followed by two boxes on February 2 and April 6.

The original live-action series follows the Winchester brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) as they hunt creatures and other supernatural phenomena across the American landscape. The series premiered on The WB network in the United States in 2005, and it will enter its sixth season on The WB‘s replacement network, The CW, this fall. Padalecki and Ackles confirmed at Comic-Con International last month that they are contributing to the dubbing of the anime along with their Japanese dubbing counterparts Yuya Uchida (Soul Eater‘s Dr. Franken Stein, Naruto Shippūden‘s Rinji) as Sam and Hiroki Touchi (Trinity Blood‘s Abel Nightroad, Bokurano‘s Kokkpelli) as Dean.”

I think it’s safe to say that it’s gonna be kick ass!  The only problem I have is that Dean Winchester’s isn’t nearly as hot in the anime as he is in real life… but I guess that’s usually the case for things that aren’t real life.

Newest Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Trailer

Harry Potter has been in my life since I was 11 years old (I am 23 now) and I am not ashamed to admit how completely obsessed I am with all things Potter.  Immediately after I saw this trailer and I had to put it on my blog faster than you can say expelliarmus!

First off this kinda gave me chills (when I said I was a fan I meant it). Deathly Hallows will be jumping on the 3D bandwagon also which I should add a nice touch to all the broom flying and wand whipping fights.

You should already know Deathly Hallows is in 2 parts.  Part 1 will be released November 2010 and Part 2 will be released July 2011.  I don’t know about you but I’m heading out to go get my spot in line now.  I know it will be chilly in November so I’m bringing my scarlet and gold Gryffindor scarf to keep me warm.  Feel free to visit me and bring me food.
