Sunday Funnies- 11/21

Unless you’ve been out in the woods hiding from He Who Shall Not Be Named, Deathly Hallows came out Thursday at midnight. Of course this little muggle *points to self* was in line with all her Potter pals an hour and a half early which apparently was “late” by the size of the line.  It was a blast to be in a theater where every single person was there to watch Harry Potter since every theater was playing Harry Potter at 12:01am. I don’t have the time to write a full review for Deathly Hallows Part 1 (because I’m a full-time grad student) BUT I absolutely loved it!  I wasn’t a fan of the last film, but I thoroughly enjoyed DH, it was funny, intense, emotional (yes I cried and I’m sure you did/will too!).  They did a great job keeping me immersed in the film especially since it would have been very easy to get boring with the “hiding out and finding horcruxes” chunk of the book.  I’m not sure what I will do with my life after DH2… but anyways before I fall into severe depression here’s a Sunday Funny brought to you by Dueling Analogs.

I think this is how my brother felt when I was playing Portal and talking with him on Skype.

Picture of the Week- Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 comes out midnight on Thursday Nov. 18th and of course I’ll be in line with the other muggles and a cup of Butter Beer to keep me warm.  It’s only fitting to have this weeks Picture of the Week dedicated to Potter and pals.

The image I decided to feature is the Deathly Hallows symbol which is simple and to the point.

“The symbol of the Deathly Hallows. The vertical line represents the Elder Wand; the circle, the Resurrection Stone; and the triangle, the Cloak of Invisibility” (Harry Potter Wiki).

Newest Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Trailer

Harry Potter has been in my life since I was 11 years old (I am 23 now) and I am not ashamed to admit how completely obsessed I am with all things Potter.  Immediately after I saw this trailer and I had to put it on my blog faster than you can say expelliarmus!

First off this kinda gave me chills (when I said I was a fan I meant it). Deathly Hallows will be jumping on the 3D bandwagon also which I should add a nice touch to all the broom flying and wand whipping fights.

You should already know Deathly Hallows is in 2 parts.  Part 1 will be released November 2010 and Part 2 will be released July 2011.  I don’t know about you but I’m heading out to go get my spot in line now.  I know it will be chilly in November so I’m bringing my scarlet and gold Gryffindor scarf to keep me warm.  Feel free to visit me and bring me food.
