Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall

The creator of Kick-Ass, Mark Millar, told the UK station Radio 5 that because of strong Kick-Ass DVD sales the sequel, Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall, is officially has the green light.

Recently Millar spoke to MTV about the sequel:

“‘Kick-Ass 2’ follows immediately after ‘Kick-Ass’. You see how Dave has inspired people to become amateur superheroes, Red Mist has inspired people in the sequel to become amateur supervillains. So what we have is two rival gangs of super characters getting together in New York.

We go straight into what’s happened with Dave and Hit-Girl as well, picking up from where they left off in the last story. Hit-Girl has now been adopted by someone who’s saying that she’s not allowed to kill people anymore, she can’t be Hit-Girl anymore[…]

We’re probably about nine months away from production starting, at the earliest, because Matthew [Vaughn]’s got to do ‘X-Men: First Class. Matthew just wants to get ‘X-Men’ done next year then hopefully we’ll just go straight into ‘Kick-Ass 2,’ that’s the plan.”

Millar also commented on the need for a quick turnaround for Kick-Ass 2 so the cast doesn’t outgrow their parts.  Particularly the scene-stealing, foul mouth, kicking ass and taking names Hit Girl.  Since the sequel continues right after the previous film, they don’t want Chloe Moretz looking more like a teenager and less like a 10-year-old.

Its release date is still up in the air, but if they stick to schedule it should come out sometime in 2012, you know if the world doesn’t end and all that stuff… :)

Bioshockers should enjoy this!  I haven’t played Bioshock but watched enough of my brother playing it to “get” this comic and find it funny.  Made by Cadwell for College Humor.

Video Game Minimalism: Less is More

Less is more in this case.  My super amazing brother showed me some of these minimalist video game posters a while ago (pre-blog).  And since sharing is caring I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I think they are very cute and clever!  If I still lived in a dorm I’d have some of these posters all over the walls… well at least my side of the room.  You can buy some video game minimalist shirts here and buy some  posters on here and through the artists links.

Hardcore gamers will be able to recognize all of these posters.  BUT I provided the cheat code just in case.

The posters are made from: Justin Russo, Infinite Continues, Chris and Ashley Browning.

Fanboys don’t worry the next post I will do is on superhero minimalist posters.
