Ecko x Star Wars Apparel Review & Giveaway!

Marc Ecko Cut & Sew, the apparel retailer, recently launched a limited edition line of Star Wars inspired hoodies and t-shirts. Star Wars apparel have be remixed every way imaginable, but that doesn’t stop these from being any less awesome. The collection plays off the popularity of the classic film graphics and the details specific to the well known characters in the film series.

Please excuse the mirror picture (#lonebloggerproblems)

The Star Wars hoodies fully transform you into your favorite character, whether it’s a Storm Trooper, an X Wing Pilot or Boba Fett. Each hoodie has a zip-front, extending past the collar to create a costume-like mask. Don’t have enough time to make a costume for the next con, costume park or trip to the grocery store? No biggie, just zip up your hoodie and you’re Boba!

I’m in love with my Storm Trooper Pop Art shirt. The fabric and print are high-quality and very well made. I know I won’t have to worry about the vivid colors fading after a few washes which is something I worry about with graphic print shirts. Although the line is made for men, I proudly rock my Storm Trooper shirt (and received many compliments). No need to worry geek girls, you can enter the giveaway as well! Perhaps next year they can release a female line, because girls like Star Wars too. ;)

  1. Awww what Star Wars character has the most style?

OT – Han Solo. For sure. He might only have that one outfit but it’s really all he needs. Sometimes he wears a jacket.. sometimes he goes shirt only, but those red striped pants and low slung blaster holster are the Sex. The swagger doesn’t hurt either.

EU – Grand Admiral Thrawn. Because he rocks his immaculate uniform AND his “different” looks without giving a .. well you know! They say the Empire is Humans-only? No one tell Thrawn!

PS – I’m only entering this bc my Warholesque Han Solo shirt is my favorite (though that was Bloomingdales.. shhhhh) and I must support the wearing (and making!) of epic Star Wars tshirts everywhere!

  2. For me it has to be Darth Vader. He is always super chic in all black. All the other characters run around like crazy, but he is always slowly walking toward his enemies with a cool confidence.

  3. Chewbacca – fo realz!
1 – You can get a dog that looks just like him and have your very own chewy, like me http://bit.ly/chewydogs
2 – He may not be fly, but he can actually fly (the Millennium Falcon at least)
3 – He’s big and bad, yet has the cutest nickname – Chewy! and an even cuter name for his kind – Wookie!
4 – Hi voice was made from a mix of recordings from walruses, lions, camels, bears, rabbits, tigers and badgers.
5 – Because his relationship with Han Solo was once listed as #1 on the top 10 movie bromances
    6 – Because he’s my FAVORITE!

  4. I’m more of a fan of the bad guys but I’m going to have to say Princess Leia.
She kept it simple (and cute) in white, and you can’t deny her famous metal bikini slave outfit.

  5. I’d have to go with Padme. While her costumes were crazy in the earlier films they did give insight into her becoming mature. The homage to the Leia costume was also a nice touch. Most of the stuff in the first film looked out of Lady Gaga’s closet but somehow it worked.

  6. The ladies love R2-D2, so he has to have the most style out of the characters. He doesn’t have to worry about changing everyday. He has a Cool Shade of a blue hue on his exoskeleton that surround all his latest tech add ons. And he has a key that unlocks any door basically.

Robot style is sure the best style. Style of the future. =)
