Nicole provides a beautiful Sailor Moon brooch tattoo for this weeks Tattoo Tuesday Featurette. But what makes me especially happy is my Sailor Moon Tattoo Tuesday helped her decide to get this done! That makes my little blogging geek heart incredibly happy. I interviewed Nicole to find out more about her love for Serena and her fellow Sailor Scouts, her tattoos and Sailor Moon cosplay!
Tattoo Tuesday Featurette Interview with Nicole:
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Nicole: My name is Nicole and I am an artist. I like to draw – nude life drawing mainly, but animation, is a second, and chalk pastels. The way they blend makes amazing images. paint – water color, then acrylics and im practicing on oils. photoshop, photography, you name it. I’m a crafty person. I make hemp jewelry, knit huge beanies, and scarves and lightbulb terrariums. I love bluesy soul jazz music, trip-hop, R&B, and alternative. I also love martial art, romantic, indie, comedy and Sci-Fi movies. I do roller-derby — which I absolutely <3 ! and martial arts. I’m a plus size model for practice, i love bowling, scrabble, and baking. I make the cutest barbie cakes. I’m twenty-four, and I mix paint for a living.
What is your tattoo of and why did you get it?
My tattoo is the super S transformation crisis locket brooch from Sailor Moon. I have loved Sailor Moon since it first aired in the early 90’s. It’s something about the mythology and romanticism in the story line. The justice and the innocence. Sailor moon always looked for the good in a person and I always tried to do the same.
I also have a moon, sun cloud combo on my lower back. I had drawn that when I was nine, and thought it would be cool it get tattooed, and so when I turned 18, that’s what i did. Not as cool as the ones I have now.
I also have a phoenix on my shoulder, on fire, with a star for an eye, music lines behind. I’m a musical person, and I’m a shining star. A phoenix because I fall down, but I rise up again.I have four others. I have a sister tattoo on my foot. My other sister has the same one and my third sister is going to get it in the future. It has two feathers, which signify each sister, a center star, which signifies the owner of the tattoo. Vines and leaves which indicate earthy women, and little spirals, which mean that things can happen and spiral out of control, but they are so small, that we overcome them. I also have an ankh on my wrist. The Ankh Cross represents life (immortality) and death, male and female, balance. It can also represent zest, joy of life, and energy. It’s closely related to the looped cross that can mean fertility and life. Which is why I got it.
Any plans for future tattoos?
My future tattoo, which will happen in late February, will be a shoulder sleeve. It will be a celestial feminine piece with waves, a moon and sun, (which represent male and female, my boyfriend and me) stars (which I will have my two sisters and mom draw personally, and those will be put on,) a sunflower (my favorite flower) and the celtic tree of life at the base of the shoulder, because “The tree of life represents the cycle of life, death, and rebirth in a sense of the wheel of life, the reason why the branches and roots are connected.”
Who is your favorite sailor scout?
My favorite scout is Sailor Moon and every form of her there is. I even cosplay as Princess serenity!

P3X-774 it’s from Stargate SG-1. I know, I am a super geek. its a planet with these faerie type looking people. I would totally be an outside scout! Or be a scout from Planet X.
What are your other favorite fandom’s?
